Inverness CT vs Airdrieonians

Saturday 14th November 2009
Inverness stroll against sorry Airdrie Inverness bounced back from their disappointing defeat in the Highland derby against Ross County with a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Airdrie. In a first half of few chances, the game finally came to life on the stroke of half-time when Dani Sanchez poked the ball between the legs of Airdrie goalkeeper Stephen Robertson after being put through by Dougie Imrie. John Baird passed up a good chance to equalise for the visitors at the start of the second half before substitute Eric Odhiambo made the game safe for Inverness with a fine finish in the 69th minute. The result keeps Terry Butcher's side within the chasing pack, five points behind leaders Dundee and Queen of the South, while struggling Airdrie fall to the bottom of the pile.
