Poetry in Motion

Kevin Motion's last-minute equaliser gave Forfar a well-deserved point in a 1-1 draw at Dumbarton.

The hosts took the lead on 16 minutes when Mark Gilhaney slipped Patrick Walker through on goal and the striker coolly placed home his second of the season.

The second half proved a much more entertaining affair as Forfar refused to lie down, talisman Christopher Templeman going close with a long-range drive.

With three minutes left, Templeman appeared to have scuppered his side's chances of claiming a draw, heading Michael Bolocheweckyj's corner straight at Jamie Ewings.

But there was still time for Motion to provide late drama, as the substitute crafted a precise header past Ewings into the bottom corner to send the Forfar faithful wild.

Langfield set for welcome comeback

Goalkeeper Jamie Langfield will make his return between the sticks for Second Division strugglers Forfar at Dumbarton.

Langfield, on a one-month loan deal from Aberdeen, is set to play competitively for the first time since suffering a brain haemorrhage in the summer.

The Loons will, however, again be without defender Mark McCulloch (groin).

Manager Dick Campbell said: "Apart from bringing Jamie in we will be on our usual lines. Our players did well to win a high-pressure cup tie last week against Stranraer and we will need to perform to a high standard again.

"Dumbarton have done really well recently to move from below us to above us in the table.

"Hopefully we can pull closer to them with a win in this game."

Combative midfielder Kevin Nicoll looks set to miss out for Dumbarton against the second-bottom visitors.

Nicoll is struggling with a groin injury ahead a game in which Dumbarton are looking to go on the attack.

Sons boss Alan Adamson said: "Last week at Cowdenbeath we played a side who set out to contain our opponents but that will change for this game as we are at home and will be going all out for the three points.

"Forfar are always a difficult team to play against home or away and they will go for it as well.

"It was a goalless draw last week which is not like us and it will be unlikely we will be involved in two goalless draws in a row."
