Watt a way to win

Kevin Watt gave Clyde their second victory of the season as they bounced back from last week's defeat to Peterhead with a 1-0 win away at Stirling.

He pounced on a pass from Stefan McCluskey in the 24th minute and rifled it past Mark Peat from 18 yards to seal the points.

The away side piled on the pressure looking for a second goal, forcing a succession of corners around the 74th minute mark, but Peat and his defence stood up to the challenge.

Stirling had their own spell of pressure late on as they searched for an equaliser via Scott Davidson's corner deliveries, but it was to no avail.

Weir added to squad alongside brother

Stirling have added Steven Weir to their squad and the striker will line up alongside brother Graham against Clyde if international clearance comes through in time following his spell in Australia.

Weir has been signed as cover for Bradley Coyne, who has been ruled out for two months due to a knee injury.

Shaun Fagan is the only other absentee against a Bully Wee side which Albion boss Greig McDonald knows will be well drilled.

"Their manager Jim Duffy is one of the best coaches in Scottish football so we know we will be up against a very well-organised side," McDonald said.

"We need to put on a good performance after losing our way when Elgin equalised against us last week before they went on to win 3-1."

Recent signing Bryan Gilfillan will miss out on Clyde's trip after picking up a knock in last Saturday's game against Peterhead.

Gilfillan's place is likely to be taken by Pat Scullion, with midfielder Stevie Masterton in line for his third and final game as a trialist for Jim Duffy's side.

Duffy is not planning any other changes after being pleased with the performance from his men despite their 2-0 defeat against the Blue Toon.

He said: "Peterhead are a strong side and we put on a decent performance but we made two defensive mistakes and were punished.

"If we can put in the same effort and cut out the mistakes against Stirling then I will be pleased. If it results in a win I will be delighted."
