Second Division title chasers Arbroath have added experienced central defender Chris Innes to their squad until the end of the season. The 35-year-old began his career at Stenhousemuir back in 1996 before spells in the SPL with Kilmarnock and Dundee United.

Innes then became part of the roller-coaster at Gretna for a 3 year spell starting in 2005 before the centre back joined Livingston for a season which he followed with spells at St. Mirren and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Innes has played only one game so far this season when he turned out for East Fife as a trialist back in September with Gayfield boss Paul Sheerin saying, “Chris has good experience and be a good professional throughout his career so I am sure he will add value to our squad.”
