Brechin City’s players will find out who is chosen as their Player of the Year at a different style event this weekend.

The winner will be announced at a Comedy Night organised by their Supporters’ Club which is being held on Saturday night in Brechin’s City Hall.

The idea came about when the Glebe Park supporters’ club committee member Drew Borland met former Brechin High School teacher, Bruce Fummey who now runs a successful comedy company.

The evening will consist of performances from Gary Little, Stu Who and Chris Conroy with Bruce Fummey comparing the event.

Borland said: “The players’ awards will play a big part in the evening and it is also a chance for the fans to meet and reward them for their efforts in getting into a Play-Off place.”
