Clyde gave striker Kieran MacDonald an opportunity to impress as a trialist substitute against Queen’s Park at Hampden on Saturday and Broadwood boss Jim Duffy is keen to see more of the Motherwell youngster as a result.

Duffy said, “Kieran has been in training with us for a while and we thought that playing at Hampden would suit him. He likes to play wide and hurt teams and we were hoping he could do that against Queen’s Park.”

“He did okay when he came on and helped us take control of the game in the latter stages so we will continue to work with him to see if a permanent deal should be offered.”
