Former Hamilton player finds new club in Iran

Flavio Paixao, who was one half of the Portuguese twins that played for Hamilton Accies in the SPL for the last two seasons before being released in the summer, has found a new club in an unexpected place.

The 26-year-old has signed for Tractor Sazi, who are based in the Iranian city of Tabriz which is the capital of the East Azerbaijan province and ply their trade in the top flight of football in the country.

Tractor SaziThe club are owned by the Iran Tractor Manufacturing Co and their club badge proudly displays a red and white tractor and these colours would appear to be the only similarity to the New Douglas Park club.

Twin brother Marco is still without a new club.
