Henderson to swap ice for sun

Monday 27th December 2010

Clyde defender Murray Henderson is to swap the frozen fields of Scotland and life at the bottom of the Third Division for an 18 month stint in the sunshine of Dubai. Henderson has been offered the chance to manage an 18 month construction project in the Middle East and has told Broadwood boss Stuart Millar that it is too good an opportunity to turn down.

Millar advised, “Murray has been travelling backwards and forwards to Dubai for most of the season and he has now been offered the chance to go there on an 18 month contract. I am sure he spent a long time considering between freezing himself playing for Clyde or working in Dubai.”

Bully Wee fans may not have seen the last of the 30 year old however with Millar saying, “We will keep hold of Murray’s registration should things not work out over there or he wants to continue playing when he comes back. I have known him for a ling time, going back to my Stranraer days, so I know that he is a fit lad who will keep himself in shape.”
