Hibernian celebrate top-flight return

Hibernian will be playing top-flight football next season after sealing the Ladbrokes Championship title at Easter Road.

A crowd of 17,054 saw Neil Lennon's men beat Queen of the South 3-0 thanks to a double from Darren McGregor and a David Gray goal.

Closest challengers Falkirk were held to a 2-2 draw by in-form St Mirren at the Falkirk Stadium. Saints were twice ahead through Rory Loy and Stephen McGinn but Lee Miller and Bob McHugh replied for Peter Houston's men.

Late goals from Rhys McCabe and David Hopkirk earned Dunfermline Athletic a 2-0 win away to Dumbarton, who now occupy the relegation play-off place.

Raith Rovers earned a crucial 2-0 home victory over Morton, with goals from Craig Barr and Ross Matthews, to climb to seventh place.

Bottom club Ayr United drew 0-0 with third-placed Dundee United at Somerset Park.
