Player Availability - Mark Docherty

Thursday 30th May 2013

The versatile Mark Docherty is hoping that a glowing reference from his former boss at Alloa Paul Hartley will help land him a new club. The 25 year old who started his career with St Mirren and also donned the colours of Stirling Albion, Brechin and Annan was released last week despite playing in over 60 games as Alloa secured back to back promotions in the last two seasons.

Docherty said: “It was obviously disappointing to leave Alloa after two very successful years. The manager was straight-forward and honest with me and said that he wanted to try something different in the First Division.”

“He thanked me for my time and praised me for what I gave to his side during that time. He also said he would speak to anyone that fancied signing me and that is decent of him and something that he does not have to do.”
