Ronald departs Spiders

Friday 21st December 2012

Queen’s Park winger Owen Ronald has been released from the Hampden club at his own request as he was frustrated at not starting for the Spiders in recent games.

The 19 year old, who was voted as the IRN-BRU SFL’s Young Player of the Month just 9 months ago, has featured in nearly 30 games and scored once for the Hampden side, however he has not played since the 2-1 defeat from East Stirling in November.

Ronald, who had been at Queen’s for 3 seasons after leaving the Hamilton Accies Youth system said, “The club have agreed to my request and I am now looking for a new club to play at.”

A spokesperson at Hampden said, “We would like to thank Owen for his time at the club and wish him well in the future.”
