Following close cooperation with participating Clubs and our Partners the Scottish Government , the Scottish Football League has agreed to switch the venue and timing of the SCLC quarter final draw to The National Stadium, Hampden Park, Glasgow at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday 4th October, 2012.  This will assist all clubs and our Government Colleagues in ensuring that this important draw is attended and supported by all concerned .

Making a return to Hampden to help conduct the Scottish Communities League Cup Fourth Round draw will be legendary former Scotland national team manager Bobby Brown.

Brown is best known as the man who guided Scotland to the famous 3-2 Wembley Wizards win against England in 1967, but more than 20 years earlier he kept goal as part of the first ever Scottish League Cup winning team (for Rangers in season 1946/47). He was to win another Scottish League Cup, five Scottish League Championships and four Scottish Cups during his decade with the Ibrox club.

Following a long and successful career during which he also played for Queen’s Park and Falkirk, Dunipace-born Brown then went on to manage St Johnstone (where he signed a certain young Alex Ferguson) before becoming Scotland’s first ever full-time manager from 1967 until 1971.
