Hearts made it 15 wins in 17 Clydesdale Bank U19 League games with a 5-2 victory over bottom club Inverness CT at the weekend to stay seven points clear of Celtic.

Chris Tobin, Calum Paterson, Dale Carrick, Callum Tapping and Billy King were all on target for the leaders, with Liam Polworth and Jack Sutherland netting for the visitors.

Celtic, who have two games in hand, beat St Mirren 1-0 with a late Filip Twardzik goal.

Motherwell are up to fourth spot after beating Hibernian 3-0 thanks to a Lee Erwin double and a goal from Craig Moore.

Aberdeen edged out Rangers 1-0 with a late Conor Devaney goal while Gareth Rodger and Ricky McIntosh, with his 13th goal of the season, helped St Johnstone beat Dunfermline 2-0.

The match between Kilmarnock and Dundee United was postponed.
