Arbroath are hoping that full back Colin Hamilton will return to Gayfield after a proposed move to English football with Notts County fell through.
The 21-year-old former Hearts kid was a star for the Red Lichties last season where he played in 33 league games and his form earned a trial at Meadow Lane.
Hamilton has returned north and featured for Paul Sheerin’s side in their 3-3 draw with Aberdeen under-20’s on Tuesday night with the Arbroath boss saying: “Colin is not signed yet but I am hopeful that he will. He did really well for us last season and it would be terrific if he had the chance to do more of the same in the new season.”
