County take big step towards U20 title

Ross County need one win from their last two games to clinch the SPFL Development League title after beating Hibernian 2-0 on Tuesday.

Dylan Dykes and Davis Keillor-Dunn got the goals for Stuart Kettlewell's side at the Global Energy Stadium and they are now favourites to finish top.

The Staggies play Dundee United at Forfar on Tuesday then host second-placed Hamilton Accies, who are five points behind. Reigning champions Celtic are two points further back in third spot but have a game in hand against Aberdeen on Thursday.

David Templeton and Ryan Tierney netted doubles as Hamilton Accies saw off Dunfermline Athletic 4-1 at New Central Park while Anthony Ralston got the only goal as Celtic defeated Dundee United 1-0 at Cappielow.

Five different players scored for Rangers in their 5-0 victory over Dundee at Links Park while Dylan Mackin bagged a brace as Motherwell beat Falkirk 3-2 at the Excelsior Stadium.

Lewis Moore hit a hat-trick as Hearts earned a 3-1 home win against Inverness Caley Thistle, Kilmarnock led St Johnstone 3-0 at McDiarmid Park at half-time and eventually won 4-3, while Kevin Nisbet got the crucial second goal as Partick Thistle defeated Aberdeen 2-1.
