Hamilton Accies beat Motherwell 2-0 in the Lanarkshire derby at the SuperSeal Stadium to earn a crucial three points in their battle to stay in the top flight.

David Templeton sealed the win for Martin Canning's men, who have climbed above Dundee and into ninth place. The Dark Blues were thumped 4-0 by St Johnstone at Dens Park, with Chris Kane bagging a brace for Saints. Kilmarnock continued their great run by beating bottom club Ross County 3-2 at Rugby Park while it was 0-0 between Partick Thistle and Aberdeen.

St Mirren are 11 points clear in the Ladbrokes Championship after beating Dunfermline Athletic 2-0 at the Paisley 2021 Stadium. Queen of the South boosted their play-off hopes with a 1-0 win at Dumbarton while Falkirk saw off Morton 3-1 at the Falkirk Stadium. The games between Brechin City and Dundee United and Livingston and Inverness CT were postponed.

Lawrence Shankland, Jamie Adams and Michael Moffat got the goals as Ayr United defeated Ladbrokes League 1 leaders Raith Rovers 3-0 at Somerset Park to move to within a point of the Kirkcaldy side with a game in hand. Arbroath beat local rivals Forfar Athletic 2-0 at Gayfield and Alloa Athletic hit back to defeat bottom club Queen's Park 2-1 at Hampden. Albion Rovers recovered from two goals down to earn a 3-2 victory at Stranraer and East Fife were 2-1 winners at home to Airdrieonians.

Peterhead moved three points clear at the top of Ladbrokes League 2 by ending Stirling Albion's five-match winning run with a 1-0 success at Forthbank. Second-placed Montrose's game at bottom club Cowdenbeath was postponed while Stenhousemuir went down 3-2 at home to Clyde and Edinburgh City won at Annan Athletic by the same score. Elgin City saw off Berwick Rangers 3-0 at Borough Briggs to move to within a point of the top four.
