Wednesday wins for Aberdeen and Hibs

Aberdeen moved back into second place in the Ladbrokes Premiership with a 4-2 win away to bottom club Ross County on Wednesday.

Doubles from Kenny McLean and Adam Rooney had the Dons four goals in front just after the hour mark but Alex Schalk scored twice for the Staggies to reduce the deficit.

Fourth-placed Hibernian are now seven points clear of city rivals Hearts thanks to a 2-1 victory against Motherwell at Easter Road. New signing Florian Kamberi broke the deadlock and Brandon Barker doubled the lead before Curtis Main pulled one back.

Stirling Albion climbed into the play-off places in Ladbrokes League 2 with a 1-0 win over bottom club Cowdenbeath at Forthbank.
