St. Mirren defender Paul McGinn has opted against signing a new deal at the club as he wants to be playing regularly.

He was loaned back to the Hampden side to gain match sharpness after a minor knee operation and he played 8 times before spending the second half of the season with Dumbarton.

McGinn scored twice in 14 games for the Sons and got a taste for regular football and that has led to him looking to move with McGinn saying: “I was pleased to be offered another deal but I want to be playing regularly and I may not get that that at St. Mirren.”
