News from across the SFL - Livingston v Albion Rovers managerial quotes included

Bollan praises Keaghan Jacobs

Livingston boss Gary Bollan has praised the form of goal grabbing midfielder Keaghan Parker, who netted the second goal in Livi’s 2-0 home win over Albion Rovers on Tuesday night to extend the Almondvale side’s lead at the top of the Third Division to five points. Bollan said, “Keaghan Parker is on fire just now and has hit four goals in three games and that is a great return for a midfielder.”

Martin goals will come

Albion Rovers boss Paul Martin is not getting overly concerned over his side’s barren run in front of goal in league games that was extended to 5 games in their 2-0 defeat at Almondvale against Livingston on Tuesday night. The Coatbridge men were unfortunate when Roddy McKenzie touched a Ciaran Donnelly header onto the bar just before half time and Martin is sure that the ball will be hitting the back of the net again soon for the Rovers.

The Cliftonhill boss said, “If we keep playing the way we are playing goals will come for us. Our final ball needs to be a bit more consistent but in the first half at Livingston I thought we played a really good passing game and were very unlucky when Roddy’s three fingertips denied Ciaran a goal that would have tied the scores.”

Raith add Corredera
