Goalgrabber Ryan Metcalfe is looking for a new club after being released by First Division Dumbarton despite banging in goals for the Sons Under 19 team.
Metcalfe was promoted to the Bet Butler side’s first team squad for last season after shining at a Youth level, however he was unable to force himself into the starting line-up due to the displays of Jim Lister and Bryan Prunty and he was released by Ian Murray last week.
Metcalfe said: “I had been with Dumbarton for a few years so it was disappointing to leave. I played in the top team 10 times so I have picked up some experience that will hopefully help me get another club.”
