Team of the Week

Craig Fowler selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Elgin City defender and hat-trick hero Darryl McHardy the star man...

GK - Aaron Lennox (Cowdenbeath)
The former Aberdeen goalkeeper, on loan to Cowdenbeath from Partick Thistle, made some good reaction stops, including a fine save from a first-half header, to help the Blue Brazil claim a 1-1 draw from their trip to Queen's Park.

DR - Charlie Seaman (Dundee United)
The 19-year-old impressed with his attacking drive from deep as United went to Premiership opponents St Mirren in the Scottish Cup and left with a 2-1 victory.

DC - Darryl McHardy (Elgin City)
Elgin defeated Albion Rovers 3-0 thanks to one man - their centre-half. Having headed in a Jon Paul McGovern cross, McHardy then doubled his tally five minutes into the second half with a thunderous effort from outside the area. He completed his hat-trick with a late penalty and is this week's star man.

DC - Tom Lang (Clyde)
The centre-back was in dominant form as Clyde went to Annan Athletic and left with a point to stay in touch with Peterhead and Edinburgh City in the Ladbrokes League 2 title race.

DC - Adam Eckersley (Forfar Athletic)
On loan from St Mirren, Eckersley was excellent as Forfar Athletic defeated Airdrieonians 2-0, moving themselves into third place in the Ladbrokes League 1 table, level on points with Raith Rovers in second.

DL - Demetri Mitchell (Heart of Midlothian)
It may have been Junior opposition in the Scottish Cup but it's still hard to argue with a goal and two assists for the left-sided Manchester United loanee as Hearts beat Auchinleck Talbot 4-0.

MR - Aaron Doran (Inverness CT)
Doran impressed on Monday evening as Caley Thistle came within seconds of dumping rivals Ross County out of the Scottish Cup. Instead the two sides will have to do it again to decide who meets Dundee United in the quarter-finals.

MC - Vykintas Slivka (Hibernian)
The Lithuanian was the stand-out Hibs player as they moved into the last eight of the Scottish Cup with a 3-1 win over Raith Rovers. He scored a nice goal, was accurate with his passing and was able to thrust forward in possession.

MC - Ross McCrorie (Rangers)
Steven Gerrard described the youngster's second-half performance at Kilmarnock as “impeccable” as he put in a masterful showing in the spoiler role in front of the back four. It wasn't enough for victory but it could have been worse without his inventions.

ML - Deimantas Petravicius (Falkirk)
The Lithuanian was an attacking spark on the left of Falkirk's midfield as Ray McKinnon's side continued their resurgence by moving off the bottom of the Ladbrokes Championship table with a 2-1 win at Alloa Athletic. He played a part in the first goal and set up the second.

FC - Scott Sinclair (Celtic)
The second hat-trick bagger in this week's team, Sinclair's destructive dismantling of St Johnstone helped the Hoops to a comfortable 5-0 victory which saw them ease into the next round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday.
