Airdrie United’s on-loan Celtic goalkeeper Robbie Thomson damaged tendons in his hand in the early stages of Saturday’s 4-1 defeat from Dumbarton and his season now looks to be over.
The 20-year-old was injured when Sons centre back Andy Graham clattered into him when he opened the scoring and Thomson played on until half-time when he was forced to come off with his side two goals down.
Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle said: “We thought that Robbie had broken a bone although it looks like that is not now the case. Either way, it is unlikely he will be back for us this season.”
