Hibs won for the first time in the Premiership under Terry Butcher at Ross County on Thursday and they will be looking to build on that against visitors Kilmarnock.

The Edinburgh side hope to have Kevin Thomson available after a calf strain however Alex Harris and Paul Heffernan are not yet ready to return.

Butcher said: “Having won away from home now I want us to do well for a home crowd at Easter Road. It would be a great way to end 2013 by getting the three points our fans deserve and want."

“Kilmarnock are gaining in confidence after a disappointing start. They have stuck at things and are seeing progress however it is a game we are looking forward to and it is a game we can win.”

The Ayrshire side are in their best form of the season having won three out of their last 4 games, including a 4-0 success in the Capital against Hearts on Boxing Day.

Manager Allan Johnston lists an unchanged squad with Ismael Bouzid, James Fowler, Reuben Garcia and David Silva all remaining out through injury.

Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston: “It will be difficult to win at Easter Road as Hibs are well organised but we do have players that can score goals. If we can keep things tight at the back I am sure that we can score.”

“We are starting to put a run together to get us up the table and hopefully that will continue in this game.”
