Ayr United have appointed Scott Brown as their new manager following the recent departure of Lee Bullen from the cinch Championship club.
The former Fleetwood Town boss will be assisted by Steven Whittaker and has signed a deal at Somerset Park until the summer of 2026.
Brown's first match in charge will be against Queen's Park at Hampden on Saturday.
Chairman David Smith told the club website: "I am delighted to welcome Scott and Steven as the new management team. We have had a busy eight days conducting informal conversations and more formal interviews with a number of very credible candidates. Scott and Steven showed lots of positive attributes that made them the preferred candidates for the club."
