Clyde have fended off interest from a Championship side and persuaded exciting young winger Scott Ferguson to sign a new two-year deal.

Bully Wee boss Barry Ferguson said: “Scott has only been playing at this level for one season and he knows he can develop further as a player. He is a player that excites you when he gets on the ball and we are looking forward to seeing him in action over the next two seasons.”

Ferguson added: “I am pleased to be staying at Clyde and cannot wait for the new season to start. I want to be playing football and not sitting on the bench for another club. The new manager wants us to attack teams and that suits me.”
