Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his cinch SPFL XI after the weekend's games...

GK - Tochukwu Philip Ogayi (Alloa Athletic)

Alloa shuffled the pack for their final regular season match against Falkirk with the Wasps having one eye on their ahead of their cinch Championship play-off first leg with Hamilton Accies.

They led 2-0 against the champions and while the Bairns would fight back to earn a 2-2 draw, Ogayi frustrated the home side with several strong saves.

DEF - Liam Grimshaw (Dundee United)

The former Motherwell man impressed at right-back as Dundee United marked Trophy Day with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Partick Thistle at Tannadice.

DEF - Alex Gogic (St Mirren)

Gogic was in brilliant form as St Mirren dominated their trip to Dundee, scoring the opener in a 3-1 triumph. The result gives Saints the edge in the race to finish in the top five and earn a spot in Europe. He’s this week’s Star Man.

DEF - Cameron Harper (Inverness CT)

Inverness CT will have to go through the play-offs to maintain their cinch Championship place despite a 3-1 win over Greenock Morton on the last day of the season. Harper was terrific in this encounter, including scoring a second-half penalty.

DEF - Georgie Gent (Motherwell)

Motherwell’s 4-1 win over Livingston confirmed the Lions’ relegation from the top flight. Gent was a standout for the Steelmen, getting up and down the left flank and whipping in a range of dangerous balls.

MID - Benjamin Luissint (Annan Athletic)

Annan secured their cinch League 1 status with a nail-baiting 1-1 draw away to Stirling Albion, who will now have to compete in the play-offs to retain their place in the third tier. Luissint scored the opener and showed real power in the middle of the park.

MID - John Lundstram (Rangers)

Rangers overcame an early deficit to defeat Kilmarnock 4-1 at Ibrox on Sunday, keeping pace with rivals Celtic in the cinch Premiership title race. Lundstram put in an excellent ball for the equaliser right on the stroke of half-time and controlled the midfield area.

MID - James Dolan (Stranraer)

A goal and an excellent showing from the left winger helped Stranraer to three points with a 2-0 triumph over Stenhousemuir, but it wasn't enough to avoid finishing in tenth place in cinch League 2. They'll now face East Kilbride for a place in next season's SPFL.

FWD - Simon Murray (Ross County)

The Staggies are now up to 10th in the cinch Premiership after coming from behind to defeat Hibs 2-1 at the weekend. Murray netted the equaliser in the 2-1 and was a constant thorn in the side of the visitors.

FWD - Kyogo Furuhashi (Celtic)

Two goals from the Japanese striker helped Celtic to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Hearts at the weekend, setting themselves up nicely for next weekend's mammoth clash with Rangers at Celtic Park.

FWD - Liam Scullion (Clyde)

Clyde secured their SPFL status on the final day with a dominant performance and 3-0 victory over Elgin City up in Moray. Scullion netted twice and set the tempo with some hard pressing right from the off as Ian McCall's side completed their great escape.
