Aberdeen top the Scottish Premiership table at the halfway stage after beating St Johnstone 2-0 at Pittodrie on New Year's Day.
David Goodwillie scored a spectacular early opener for Derek McInnes' side and substitute Cammy Smith sealed a sixth straight league win without the loss of a goal in stoppage time.
Hamilton Accies stormed to a 5-0 victory over Motherwell at New Douglas Park. Dougie Imrie, Ali Crawford, Mickael Antoine-Curier, Tony Andreu and substitute Danny Redmond all scored for Alex Neil’s men, who are only four points off the top.
Inverness Caley Thistle overcame bottom club Ross County 3-1 in Dingwall. Aaron Doran grabbed a double and Billy McKay added the third goal after Jackson Irvine had pulled one back.
Kilmarnock moved to within two points of the top six after beating St Mirren 2-1 in Paisley. All the goals came from second-half penalties, with Alexei Eremenko and Craig Slater netting for Killie before Gregg Wylde scored for Saints. Kenny McLean and Slater were both sent off.
