Aberdeen dropped their first points of the season in a 1-1 draw with Inverness CT and are ahead of St Mirren, who won 4-2 at Ross County, on goal difference.
Dundee came out on top against city rivals Dundee United, 3-1 at Gayfield, while Partick Thistle edged out St Johnstone 4-3.
Falkirk defeated Kilmarnock 1-0 and it was also 1-0 for Hibernian against Dunfermline at East End Park.
Hearts play Motherwell at Newtongrange this evening and Celtic are the team without a game this week.
The Development League East and West also began this midweek and Livingston were the big winners, 5-0 against Forfar at Station Park.
