Accies snap Stubbs

Hamilton Accies have signed defender Sam Stubbs on loan from Middlesbrough.

The 20-year-old, who had a loan spell with Notts County last season, is the son of former Celtic centre-half and Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs.

Manager Brian Rice told the club website: “I’m glad to have Sam on board - he’s a big lad and has great ability. I’m looking forward to getting him on the pitch to see what he can do for us.”
