irdrie United have brought a former Diamond back to the club with midfielder Stephen McKeown signing on until the end of the season. The 29 year old was an Airdrieonians player for 4 years until they ceased to exist and he then moved to join the club that emerged out of the remnants of the original Diamonds, Airdrie United.
McKeown moved to Partick Thistle in 2008 where he stayed for 2 seasons before joining Ayr United last summer where his stay was brief and he was released shortly after joining them.
Airdrie boss Jimmy Boyle said, “We are delighted to bring someone with Stephen’s experience back to the club.
