Alloa boss Barry Smith has praised striker Andy Kirk despite the Northern Ireland internationalist going more than four months without a goal.
The 34-year-old former Hearts and Dunfermline front-man last found the net against Morton on December 14 but Smith reckons that Kirk’s hard-working approach makes up for it.
He said: "Andy is maybe not getting the goals just now but he is working hard for the team and that’s important at this stage in the season when things are getting decided.
“Everyone would love him to get a goal and it will come, but you cannot under-estimate how hard he is working for the good of the team.”
