Alloa Athletic’s recently appointed Player/Manager Paul Hartley has completed his first signing as Recreation park boss by bringing in a young goalkeeper he knows from his days as an Aberdeen player. Shot-stopper Scott Bain has signed a one year deal with the Wasps and the teenager is looking to build on the SFL experience he gained whilst out on loan for 3 months at Elgin City last season.
Hartley is on his UEFA Coaching Course at Largs just now so it was left to Club Secretary Ewan Cameron to say, “Scott has been with Aberdeen for the past three seasons where he spent two years under the guidance of Neale Cooper with their Under-19 squad before being spending last season with the first team squad where he was coached by Jim Leighton. As well as his time at Elgin City he has also been involved with the Scotland under-19 squad when Billy Stark took him to Croatia for a tournament last summer.”
