Alloa’s recently appointed manager Paul Hartley completed the sixth signing of his time at Recreation Park yesterday when experienced midfielder Darren Young signed on for the Wasps.
The 32 year old was captain of both his first club Aberdeen and then Dunfermline, where he played with his brother Derek, who was a team-mate of Hartley at the Dons last season.
Young joined Dundee in the summer of 2008 before moving on to Morton last season and he joins goalkeeper Scott Bain, midfielders Ryan and Ross McCord as well as new front men Kevin Cawley and Armand One at Recreation Park.
Hartley is not finished yet as he said, “I am still speaking to a number of players about being in our pool next season.”
