Alloa have re-signed former Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle, Morton and Falkirk midfielder Iain Flannigan who suffered an injury hit first season with the Wasps after joining them last summer.
The 26-year-old started out at Rugby Park side in 2005 and played in their first team the age of seventeen before moving to Thistle in 2010 where his two years as a Jag where followed by short stints at Cappielow and the Falkirk Stadium.
Flannigan has proven his fitness to Recreation Park manager Barry Smith in pre-season and agreement has been reached to keep him at the Championship side.
Smith has also kept hold of former Kilmarnock and Stirling Albion defender Michael Doyle who has signed on for a fourth season and is keen to add to his over 100 appearances.
The Alloa boss said: “Iain has worked really hard since we got together again and it was an easy decision to offer him a new deal. Michael is a very consistent player for us and I am delighted to have him on board again as well.”
