The 30-year-old Frenchman enjoyed a successful spell with the Lanarkshire club after moving from Livingston in the summer of 2013.
Andreu had spells on loan with Rotherham United and Dundee United during his time at Carrow Road and now returns north on loan from Coventry City until the end of the season.
Manager Martin Canning told the Hamilton website: “Naturally we’re delighted to bring Tony back to the club. It’s a signing that will give everyone around the place a real lift - we wanted to add quality at the top end of the pitch and we know Tony has that."
