Annan are hoping for good news after striker Scott Davidson went for a scan on the knee he injured against Dunfermline a week past Saturday.
Davidson, who scored against Hearts the previous weekend, had to be carried off at East End Park amid fears his season was over with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Manager Jim Chapman, who saw his own playing career cut short with a knee problem, said: “After the game it looked like being a very serious injury but by the time Scott went for a scan last Friday things had improved.
“He had some mobility and that has everyone hoping that it is not an ACL problem. The full diagnosis is out next week and hopefully Scott will get some good news.”
