Annan close the gap

Annan Athletic beat Albion Rovers 2-0 at Cliftonhill on Tuesday night to close the gap on League 2 leaders Peterhead to five points.

Jim Chapman's men have now won six of their last seven games as Rovers’ play-off hopes took a knock.

Ex-Carlisle player Josh Todd broke the deadlock nine minutes before the break and top scorer Kenny MacKay added the second goal early in the second period.
