Annan are hoping their leading scorer Kenny MacKay will shake off a groin injury and help them climb into League 1.
The 23-year-old former Greenock Juniors striker missed the 3-0 win over Clyde at the weekend and has been ruled out of this Saturday’s clash at East Stirlingshire.
Manager Jim Chapman said: “Kenny has been troubled with this injury at various times this season but hopefully he will make a full recovery. It does not look like we will catch Peterhead for the title but we have booked our play-off place.
“We can concentrate on ensuring he is good to see out the rest of the season.”
