Annan are wrapping striker Kenny MacKay in cotton wool in the hope he will be available for the play-offs.
The former Greenock Juniors player has starred in League 2 since stepping up last summer, scoring 14 goals, but a niggling hamstring injury has kept him out since the end of March.
Galabank manager Jim Chapman said: “Kenny is doing some very light work and that is it. He will not play in the league again this season and is a major doubt for the play-offs.
“We will do all we can to have him ready as he has great pace that really unsettles teams.”
