Anton Dowds has been named William Hill Championship Player of the Month for August.
The striker has scored four times in five league outings as Scott Brown's Honest Men top the table in the first month of the season.
Dowds opened his account in the league with a goal in the 2-0 opening day win over Hamilton Academical before netting two in a 5-0 victory over Airdrieonians six days later.
The 27-year-old was on target in a 2-0 triumph over Raith Rovers at Somerset Park to complete a fine August.
Ayr have 13 points from a possible 15 with Dowds' double also helping the Ayrshire outfit to reach Round 4 of the SPFL Trust Trophy this term.
