Ryan Donnelly scored the only goal as Ayr United beat Morton 1-0 in their League 1 opener at Somerset Park on Saturday.
The visitors had Jordan Allan sent off midway through the second half and Donnelly struck with 11 minutes left.
Martin Grehan grabbed the winner with just three minutes remaining as Stenhousemuir edged out Airdrieonians 1-0 at Ochilview - a week after beating them in the League Cup.
Title favourites Dunfermline were held to a 0-0 draw by Brechin City at East End Park.
Promoted pair Peterhead and Stirling Albion shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Balmoor. Gordon Smith fired the Binos in front but Rory McAllister levelled late on.
It was also 1-1 between Stranraer and Forfar at Stair Park. Jamie Longworth gave the Blues the lead but Stuart Malcolm equalised for Dick Campbell's side.
