Bodog backing Ayr again

Ayr United are to be sponsored for a third season by online gaming firm Bodog and their colourful owner Calvin Ayre.

Ayre, who is celebrating his birthday in Antigua, said: “It is not easy being an Ayr United fan but, equally, it is never boring and there is nothing worse than boring. I feel a big year ahead for The Honest Men. As they say on the West Coast: ‘Mon Super Ayr!”

Ayr’s Commercial Manager Graeme Miller added: “It is great to have a consistent sponsor behind the club and one that is born out of passion rather than purely financial considerations.

“The League is wide open this year and I see no reason why a strong promotion push cannot be achieved with Bodog’s backing.”
