Saturday’s Scottish League 1 match between Ayr United and Stranraer marked the opening of the newly-refurbished snack bar in the Main Stand at Somerset Park.
As a token of their support for the club, local company Digital Kitchens Factory Outlet agreed to fully refurbish the ailing snack bar, free of charge, after fans of the Honest Men pushed their Facebook page beyond the 2,000 likes mark.
Ayr United Commercial Manager Graeme Miller said: “This is a fantastic gesture from Digital Kitchens. The Bryson family, who own the company, follow United home and away. They are very keen to help the club and we are extremely grateful. We would ask our fans to click on the link below and like the Digital Kitchens Facebook page.”
Daniel Bryson of Digital Kitchens said: “As a local company we take great pride in helping the community and see this as a great opportunity to give something back to the town as a token of our thanks for their support. It will not only improve Somerset immediately but will also boost match-day catering revenue in the long term.”
