Alloa boss Allan Maitland is going back to school during the international break this week as he has enrolled to undertake SFA Coaching badges for the first time during his eleven year managerial career.
There has been no exemptions for the former Clyde and Hamilton manager despite two successful promotions and countless Manager of the Month awards with Maitland starting working at the bottom rung of the ladder on his SFA ‘D’ Licence at Stirling University.
Maitland said, “I was looking to see how I could develop as a Manager and not having qualifications was an obvious gap. I have finally decided to close that gap so it will be interesting to see what I learn during these courses and I am sure I will learn plenty.”
