Bain and Cadden remain at Airdrie

Bollan keeps hold of two Diamonds

Airdrie boss Gary Bollan has re-signed two members of last season’s squad with the versatile Jamie Bain and promising young winger Nicky Cadden both agreeing to remain with the League 1 side.

Bain has made more than 130 appearances during his time at the Lanarkshire club where the 22 year old has established a reputation for scoring spectacular goals with 17 year old Cadden out to build on making his first team breakthrough in the last campaign.

The Diamonds also signed former Hibs, Montrose, Raith Rovers and Livingston goalkeeper Andy McNeil last week and Bollan said: “I am delighted to get Jamie and Nicky signed on so soon after getting Andy in. We are beginning to get our squad assembled and I am looking forward to the start of pre-season.”

Meanwhile, defender Grant Evans has joined Irvine Meadow after being released by the club towards the end of last season.
