Queen of the South have agreed a deal to sign Raith Rovers striker John Baird when his contract expires in the summer.
The former Dundee forward moved to Stark's Park earlier this year after a short spell at Partick Thistle and scored the winner against Rangers in the Ramsdens Cup final but has opted to make the switch to Palmerston.
Manager Jim McIntyre told the club website: "He's a player I've admired for a long time and I'm delighted to finally get him.
"I tried to sign John when I was with Dunfermline but it didn't quite happen. He's a proven goalscorer at this level and I'm sure he'll get goals for us next season."
