Bell out for three months

Rangers have been dealt a blow with the news that goalkeeper Cammy Bell is set to be sidelined for another three months.

Rangers have been dealt a blow with the news that goalkeeper Cammy Bell is set to be sidelined for another three months.

The former Kilmarnock player has been out since suffering a shoulder injury against Falkirk in the middle of August and dislocated it in training on Thursday.

Boss Ally McCoist told the club website: "It’s obviously a blow to Cammy and the team that he’s going to be out for months. At the same time, we’re happy with our substitute goalkeepers (Steve Simonsen and Lee Robinson) who can do a good job in his absence.”

Rangers trail Championship leaders Hearts by a single point as they prepare to face Alloa at Recreation Park this weekend.
