Stranraer have moved quickly to assure fans that the injury that has kept midfielder Steven Bell out of their pre-season programme so far is not related to the achilles problem that cost the 28 year old almost 3 years of his career.
The former Dundee United, Queen of the South, Stirling Albion and Dunfermline midfielder returned to football with the Blues last autumn and helped them reach the play-offs however he has not played recently and rumours were circulating that Bell had aggravated his previous injury.
Committee member Iain Dougan was pleased to put the record straight saying: “Steven has picked up a leg knock but it is not related to his previous problem. He will be back in amongst things soon and we are looking forward to seeing him in action.”
