Berwick Rangers have signed two new players, with East Fife goalkeeper Michael Andrews coming on board and former midfielder Paul Currie returning to the club after a two-and- a-half year break.
Former Scotland under-21 cap Andrews, 23, who started his career at Falkirk and also played for East Stirlingshire, Brechin City and Montrose, has been signed as Paul Grant is returning to Easter Road this month at the end of his loan deal.
Currie was with the Borderers for three seasons before moving to Hamilton Accies for a £10,000 fee in August 2011 and he netted twice in 10 games for the Accies.
The 28-year-old was released five months after joining the New Douglas Park side and played for Musselburgh Juniors before joining Arbroath in the summer of 2012.
Currie re-joined Musselburgh almost a year ago after being released by the Red Lichties and his form there has prompted Berwick boss Ian Little to bring him back on board.
Little said: “Michael has a lot of experience and that will be a great asset to us over the coming months. Paul was a good player here but things never quite worked out for him when he moved on. He has played well at Musselburgh and deserves another chance at this level.”
