Betfred Cup pedigree: Celtic have won the Betfred Cup in each of the past three seasons and 18 times overall. Rangers have lifted the trophy a record 27 times but this is their first final appearance since 2010/11.
Past meetings: This is the 15th League Cup final between Rangers and Celtic and the Ibrox club lead the series by nine wins to five. They won the last final 2-1 after extra time in 2010/11 while Celtic came out on top two years earlier, winning 2-0 after extra time. Celtic triumphed 2-0 at Ibrox in the Ladbrokes Premiership on September 1 and they meet again on December 29.
Recent form: Celtic have won their last 11 games in all competitions and are two points clear in the title race. Both teams have suffered just two defeats this season - one each in the Premiership and one in Europe. Celtic have won 30 domestic cup ties in a row since losing the 2015/16 Scottish Cup semi-final on penalties to Rangers.
